This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a collage of Christmas sweaters and mittens. Tomoyo Kimura left her home in Kobe Japan to attend Parson�s School of Design in New York City where she graduated with honors. She was hired immediately by the largest advertising agency in the city as a staff illustrator. For ten years she drew print advertisements and T.V. storyboards for some of the world�s best known brands. Today, at her own studio, she works to those same exacting standards on subjects that both satisfy her as an artist and are also eagerly accepted in the marketplace. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
